We're a games studio!
Do you know what happens when you put a person with lots of ideas but no coding knowledge in the same room as a person with lots of coding knowledge but no ideas? Turns out you get an amateur games studio.
Michael and Joe met in a games development club at sixth form. They started working on Mouse Trapped in December 2017. By March 2018, a playable version of the game was available online. Our application to the BAFTA Young Game Designers competition was submitted in late April. In June, Mouse Trapped was announced as one of the ten finalists in the 15-18 years old Game Making category. Very exciting!
In October 2018, we started working on Pop Pixie, joined by Miles and a team of excellent asset contributors. Together, we produced a demo for Pop Pixie and entered it into the 2019 Young Game Designers competition. We are pleased to announce that Pop Pixie has also become a YGD finalist in the same category as Mouse Trapped was. Even more exciting!
BAFTA will announce the winners of the 2019 Young Game Designers competition at the end of June. Wish us luck!
